Meet Dr. Joshua Lee

Dr. Joshua Lee earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the renowned New York University College of Dentistry. He began his dental career as a dental officer in the U.S. Army, where he also completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency through the U.S. Army Medical Department. During his five years of military service, Dr. Lee cared for fellow service members and developed a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, ethical, patient-centered dentistry.

Since entering private practice in 2014, Dr. Lee has continued to expand his expertise, particularly in oral surgery and implant dentistry. He is a Master of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics (AAIP), and he actively maintains a wide network of professional affiliations. Dr. Lee is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), California Academy of General Dentistry, Korean American Dental Association (KADA) and San Gabriel Valley Dental Society. In addition to practicing dentistry, he contributes to the academic field as a volunteer adjunct assistant clinical professor at the Oral and Maxillofacial Clinic of the USC School of Dentistry, where he helps train the next generation of dental professionals.

Now serving the Pasadena community and surrounding areas, Dr. Lee is dedicated to providing customized, holistic dental care that helps patients speak beautifully, eat joyfully and smile confidently. When he’s not practicing dentistry, Dr. Lee enjoys spending time with his kids, practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, hiking and reading.

Our Commitment to Excellence and Ethical Care

At Joshua Dental Pasadena, Dr. Joshua Lee’s extensive training, military service, and dedication to ethical, personalized care exemplify our practice’s core values. We prioritize patient trust, comfort, and precision in every procedure, ensuring life-changing results for those with complex dental needs. Our approach combines expertise with compassionate, individualized treatment planning.

Dr. Joshua Lee’s commitment to helping others began long before his career in dentistry. Having served as a police officer, he developed a deep respect for public service, discipline, and community care—values that continue to shape the way he practices today. Whether in uniform or in scrubs, Dr. Lee has always been driven by the same purpose: to protect, support, and improve the lives of the people he serves. He sees strong parallels between law enforcement and dentistry—both require trust, precision, calm decision-making under pressure, and a genuine desire to help others in moments of need. This passion for service remains at the core of his work, guiding his dedication to providing compassionate, ethical, and patient-centered care to his community.

Dr. Joshua Lee also proudly served as a military dental officer, where he received unparalleled clinical training and developed a profound sense of responsibility toward those under his care. In the military, dentistry is more than a profession—it is a commitment to the health, readiness, and well-being of fellow service members. That experience shaped his philosophy of treating every patient with the same level of attention, respect, and loyalty as he would a brother or sister in uniform. The intensity of military training, combined with the responsibility of caring for those who serve, helped refine his surgical skills, discipline, and ability to make thoughtful decisions under pressure. Today, he carries that same standard into his practice, approaching each patient with compassion, integrity, and a deep sense of duty to serve.
